Orillia Bridge Club

The winery is next to a main road, but this is quiet overnight. Heavy traffic does start moving early though, at about 6am

We look around the winery grounds, which includes some giant Inukshuks

When the shop reopens I go and buy more cider. Four bottles was simply not enough. I ask about the Apple trees in the orchard, which are bare of fruit. They have been hit by Gypsy Moths, which have also affected fruit trees in the region. I also confirm what I had suspected last night. The winery likes RV campers staying, as it provides an element of security for them overnight.

We then head for Orillia Bridge Club. I had been eyeing up a bridge option whilst planning this holiday, but at that time very few had opened for face to face games. Now though, things were more relaxed and the club was open.

We joined 12 other pairs for 26 boards of bridge. Everyone was really friendly, asking all about our trip and inviting us back anytime. They told us that they are still struggling to get player numbers back to where they were, but to me they seemed to be doing really well.

We came third, which was very respectable

A short drive to Curtis and Jessica's house, and beers, and some excellent barbecued pork

sitting chatting around the fire pit bnuntil nearly middnight
